Disney starts a new fiscal year every October. A few days later, just like clockwork, the company gives a little new year jump start to its earnings outlook by announcing increases to the prices of theme park tickets at Disneyland.
This year is no exception. Disney just rolled out changes to Disneyland park ticket prices on October 6, 2026. For the first time in a long time, however, many of the prices are mercifully staying exactly the same. That's a relief and an unexpected change.

But prices on some ticket types are going up. That's a bummer if you have been planning a Disneyland trip but hadn't yet executed on booking all the details, as these increases take effective immediately.
So are you out of luck and now stuck with a higher price for your Disneyland vacation? Maybe not. For a limited time, there's actually a hack that many of you can take advantage of to lock in a Disneyland vacation at a discount off of even the old, pre-increase prices.

How much did Disneyland ticket prices increase?
So how much did prices go up during the latest increase? Disney always adjusts three elements of their ticket prices, and the changes this year as as follows:
- Base ticket prices: Depending on length of ticket, base ticket prices went up no more than $5. Multi-day ticket base prices remained the same, but some 1-day tickets went up by $5.
- Park Hopper add on: If you want the ability to park hop (visit both parks in a single day), you'll pay $5 -$15 more for the privilege depending on ticket type. See more in my guide to whether Disneyland park hopper tickets are worth it or a waste.
- Lightning Lane Multi Pass add on: If you want to shortcut long attraction lines, you can add this feature to every day of your ticket in advance for an average per day cost of $35 per day—$1 more than the previous $34 price. Prices are usually several dollars higher for same-day a la carte purchases. Learn more in my Disneyland Lightning Lane FAQ post or see my advanced hacks and tricks for Lightning Lane Multi Pass.
The chart below breaks down the increases in even greater detail.

The hack that lets you get around the increase
The hack to avoid these increases is as simple as buying multi-day tickets through one of a very select few travel agencies that are authorized by Disney to continue to clear out their inventory of tickets at the old prices, like Get Away Today.
If you only want to take a single day vacation, I don't have a hack for you. You're stuck with Disney's price increase because no ticket partner is allowed to sell discounted 1 day theme park tickets to Disneyland.
But for those of you who take trips longer than a single day, for a limited time (until 10:59pm Pacific time on October 19, 2026), Get Away Today has the old lower prices for sale on 2 to 5 day multi-day ticket options on its website.
And because Get Away Today always sells multi-day theme park tickets at a prices that are discounted off of Disney direct, you actually get what amounts to a double discount (the old pre-increase prices PLUS the extra discount that Get Away Today offered off of what Disney direct prices were before the increase).
Because base prices didn't increase on multi-day tickets, you'll see the most savings on tickets that include the extras that did increase in price: Park Hopper tickets and ones that bundle Lightning Lane Multi Pass. The highest savings can be $75 per ticket, which can be found on 5-day Park Hopper tickets with Lightning Lane Multi Pass included.
The ticket type I buy the most often for my family vacations is the 3-day Park Hopper with Lightning Lane. Savings on that ticket are $51 off per adult.
But even if you plan to buy the base tickets without the extras, you'll still save because of Get Away Today's discount off of the Disney direct price.
Get Away Today is Disneyland's original ticket partner and the company that sells more Disneyland tickets than any entity other than Disney direct. I've partnered with them for nearly a decade and have trusted them for my own vacations and the vacations for friends and readers for just as long. As a result, I can promise that you'll get trusted customer service along with their deeply discounted savings.
But there must be a catch, right?

Surely there is a catch here somewhere? There really isn't. This feels like a hack, but it's all actually legit and rubber stamped by Disney. A lot of guests just don't know about this option or mistakenly assume that the tickets are in some way inferior. They don't do their due diligence to take advantage.
The only additional limitation that you need to be aware of is that tickets available at the old prices have an earlier expiration date than the new ones. Tickets at old prices expire at the end of 2027, while ones at the increased prices expire at the end of 2028.
But if you know you will to visit the parks some time later in 2026 or any time in 2027, this expiration date shouldn't be a concern. You'll still have 15 months of validity on the discounted tickets Get Away Today is selling.
Additionally, even if you aren't able to visit in 2027 before the expiration date of these tickets (perhaps due to a last minute family emergency), you don't forfeit the value you paid for the tickets. Disneyland always lets guest reapply that value towards a new ticket with an updated expiration date.
Get Away Today's tickets also have one more perk that is better than Disney direct that gives you even more flexibility. Their tickets are refundable up to one year from the date of purchase. Disney direct tickets never are.
How does refundability work? Tickets are fully refundable if you purchase Get Away Today's $99 Peace of Mind protection plan with your purchase, or mostly refundable without it (they are subject to a $50 per ticket cancellation fee).
So whether you actually take the vacation in 2027 or ultimately need to reschedule, fully cancel, or reapply expired ticket value to a future ticket, you have a variety of options.
But what if other deals come out later that are better?

If you follow Disneyland news, you probably know that there are sometimes other ticket deals that come out other times of year that might beat regular ticket prices. Examples in the last couple of years include the kids ticket deal starting at just $50 per kid per day and the very popular California resident 3 day ticket discount that Disneyland offered last spring.
Get Away Today's policy is that you're never penalized for booking early with them. So if a better offer comes out later, you can always change your booking to take advantage of it at no cost to you. Get Away Today does all the work under the hood in how they book and deliver park tickets to preserve that flexibility for you.
Clock's ticking....
The ticket deal ends on October 19, so you have nearly two weeks to look at your calendar and see if a 2027 Disneyland vacation is in the cards for your family. Hurry and lock in the savings, before it's too late!
