How Californians Can Visit Disneyland for 3 Days for Less than the Price of 1 Day

The headlines the last few years have been pretty negative when it comes to the price of a Disney vacation - and rightfully so. The costs of visiting both Disneyland in Southern California and Walt Disney World in Florida have far-outpaced the rate of (already-high) inflation, making a trip for many families seem out of reach.

Disney has responded by making a number of discount offers more regularly available. So while it's still very expensive if you want to visit during many peak periods, if you can align your family's schedule to match one of these timed deals, you may be able to score prices that only seemed possible a decade ago.

Disneyland's California Resident Ticket Offer

Earlier today, Disneyland dropped one of these limited time deals that is worth sitting up and taking notice - but only if you are a resident of the state of California. Often, Disneyland only makes its cheapest ticket deals available to residents in the southern half of the state, excluding folks like me who live up north in places like the Bay Area and Sacramento. But even I get to take advantage this time.

Often these deals are only available during lower-demand times of year or on weekdays. But this year, the newest California Resident offer is available every single day from New Year's Day through May 21, 2026. This includes peak dates like President's Day weekend and spring break.

Disneyland's 70th Anniversary celebration will be continuing for this entire period, and the dates also coincide with several special events and festivals like Lunar New Year and the Food & Wine Festival at Disney California Adventure park.

California Resident tickets are special 3-day park hopper tickets, available with or without Lightning Lane Multi Pass. Unlike many Disneyland multi-day tickets that require that all days be used within a 2 week period, these 3-day tickets are valid for the entirety of the promotion period on non-consecutive days. So a guest could visit 1 day in January, 1 day in March, and 1 day in May as shown on the sample booking below (just remember advanced park reservations are still required!)

How to Get Lower than Disney Direct Prices

While the deal's prices from Disney direct are pretty remarkable, there is a totally legitimate way to get these California Resident tickets for even less. The travel agency I partner with (and have used for the better part of a decade to book many of my own Disney vacations) is offering these same California resident tickets at an even deeper discount.

For a limited time, Get Away Today's pricing is $204 per 3-day park hopper ticket (compare to Disney's $249 direct pricing). That's $68 per day!

When this limited time promotion price sells out, Get Away Today's tickets will be $219 (still $30 per ticket less than Disney direct and only $73/day).

Park hopper tickets with Lightning Lane Multi Pass included are also available for $284.

The math is pretty easy to do when you look at this screenshot of 1 day park hopper ticket prices in March and April 2026. The vast majority of dates cost well over $200 per day for single day park hopper tickets, with some days as high as $289! (Peak 1-day park hopper ticket prices in early January are even higher - $314 a day!)

The per-day pricing of this California Resident offer beats even the lowest-priced Disneyland days by a long shot. There are a couple of days on Disneyland's calendar where single day one-park-per-day tickets cost just $104 - or $312 for 3 days. With this deal, however, a California resident could upgrade to 3 days WITH park hopper access WITH Lightning Lane on all 3 days for a lower total cost.
