We are planning our first flight with our newest addition in a few weeks, so I've been searching for new travel gear and products to make our trip easier. It has been 4 ½ years since we've had a baby, and I'm happy to see that there are so many new infant travel products out there since we've last been in the market. More people are traveling with little ones, so I guess the demand is finally being met!
Our son is has just started getting a bit of formula, but is still mostly breastfeeding at the moment. So, we are in the market for both nursing and bottle-feeding gear for this trip. Here are two good finds, no matter what way you feed your baby:

1) Inflatable "My Brest Friend" Nursing Pillow
I'm one of those moms that just can't nurse very well without a breastfeeding pillow. When my daughter was an infant, I took my Boppy on several plane flights just so I could feed her. Problem is that the thing is huge! It took up a whole carryon bag just by itself. I'm so glad that My Brest Friend has now released an inflatable version of its nursing pillow (I prefer the My Brest Friend brand anyway over the Boppy). Even though we have not been on a plane yet, I have used this product a lot. It is always in the trunk of my car so I can nurse no matter where I find myself during the day.
2) Enfamil Single Serve Formula Packets
When I traveled with my older child, I always measured out powdered formula into bottles or a plastic bag before I left. Who needs that extra step when travel is hectic enough? Enfamil sent me a sample of these tubes in the mail, and I'm definitely going to use them for plane travel. Sure, they are a little more expensive, but the convenience is amazing for use on the go.

I just discovered Milton Sterilizing Tablets. They are great when needing to travel with a bottle. Make sure though you wash it out well. In addition, the Tommee Tippee Thermos. You can pre make up your formula and it stays warm for a 12 hour trip. Which is great when you have a baby who likes there bottle warm.
Good luck on your flight!
