With 2015 now here and holiday travel behind us, it is time to start planning that next family trip. If you are interested in learning more about family travel that costs less and means more, I wanted to share an event with all of you.
Dia of The Deal Mommy blog is hosting her second Family Travel for Real Life conference on March 7, 2015 in Charlotte, North Carolina. Come learn about ways that frequent flyers use miles and points to save on travel for their family in realistic and accessible ways, and learn how to get more out of your family vacations. The mission statement of FT4RL is pretty inspiring: Travel with kids is not only possible, but necessary. By sharing the world with our children, we expand both their minds and our own, creating a lifetime’s worth of wonder that can come no other way.
Tickets for FT4RL are very reasonably-priced at $69 for a full day of programming. And you can currently get an extra 10% off with my special code TYKES, so don't delay. This code expires on January 15. Ticket details for FT4RL can be found here.
Why else should you attend? To see me, of course!
I'm honored that Dia selected me as one of the Family Travel for Real Life speakers this year. I'll be speaking about all things Disney. Because let's face it - if you have kids, a Disney destination is going to be on their travel wish list at some point. As you can probably tell by the large number of Disney posts on this blog, I'm a huge Disney fan. I grew up going to Walt Disney World in Florida. Now that I've lived in California for most of my adult life, Disneyland is my home park. My family regularly visits all sorts of other Disney destinations (Disney's Aulani and Hong Kong Disneyland, for example) looking to maximize our time and money while having a lot of fun with our little ones.
Need more convincing? Check out the recap of the first FT4RL conference from Dan at Points with a Crew, who successfully travels on the cheap with a family of 8.
Hope to see many of you in Charlotte in a few months!
