With both Disney World and Disneyland current closed, what’s a Disney parks lover to do? I’m always amazed at the creativity of fellow Disney fans, and people have really risen to the latest challenge we are all facing – and then some.

Disneyland Sleeping Beauty Castle Minnie Statue

If you need a little joy in your life right now, I’ve rounded up some of the best videos from around the web that feature the efforts of Disney lovers everywhere trying to bring the Disney parks experience home. From Soarin’ to the Jungle Cruise to Haunted Mansion, many rides have been attempted and the results definitely brought a smile to my face.

Leave a comment and let me know which one is your favorite! And if you find more on Facebook, Twitter, or Instagram, let me know so I can add them to this post for others to enjoy.

Making a Splash

It’s always funnier when other people are the ones drenched on Splash Mountain and not you. All of the fun of Splash Mountain is in this video… without the squishy wet socks afterwards.

Missing Disney a little extra today! on day 3 of our coronacation we decided to do something about it!

Back Side of Water

My husband’s lifelong dream is to be a Jungle Cruise skipper. Maybe I should tell him he can do it in a backyard pool just like these creative folks!

Soarin’ Around the Living Room

My favorite ride at Disney California Adventure is most definitely Soarin’. Love the creativity of this family in recreating a tour around the world in their own living room.

Dead Men Tell No Tales

Calling All Epcot Geeks!

Epcot geeks unite! While so many Disney fans are recreating the thrill rides, kudos to this family for going full throttle Epcot geek in recreating Spaceship Earth. Dame Judy Dench would be proud.

Grim Grinning Ghosts

There are a few Haunted Mansion recreations out there, but this one is the best. It gets a slow start, but wait for it – the doom buggy going backwards made this one for me!

Mattercam Madness

Last but certainly not least, if these virtual visits and memes don’t scratch your Disney itch, head on over to the HoJo Anaheim website. The hotel’s famous “Mattercam” is still running so you can take in views of an eerily empty Disneyland from home. (And if you want to consider a stay at the HoJo when this is all over, it is one of my favorite family-friendly hotels in the area so be sure to check out my HoJo Anaheim Review.)

Even More Disney Fun at Home

Want even more Disney distractions while you are stuck at home in the coming days? Check out these posts from my Disney-loving blogger friends.

Can't ride attractions at Disneyland or Walt Disney World right now due to the parks closures? No problem! These creative Disney fans re-created their favorite rides at home. Spaceship Earth, Haunted Mansion, Jungle Cruise, Pirates, and more.
