The New York Times, Wall Street Journal, and other major newspapers have been focusing a lot on traveling with kids in the past several months. Probably some of this very recent attention can be attributed to the fact that it is the family summer season, but I think it is safe to say that a lot more people are traveling with their little ones these days. I’ve found a few of these articles informative, helpful, entertaining, or funny, so here’s a roundup of the latest coverage.
One caveat – I find that a lot of travel articles, even ones that deal with family travel, focus on travel that is fairly unattainable for most families. The New York Times travel section is notorious for only covering Ritz-Carltons, Dubai vacations, and first class all the way. That’s not how I roll! So, take them for what they are worth and pick the tips that apply to you and your travel patterns.
